Right now, my family and I are in Red River, New Mexico, on vacation. It's truly a beautiful place, especially with the same Rocky Mountains you'd see in Colorado and all those states between the west coast and the mid west.
Today, my brother and I went up on a ski lift, but then we just decided to walk back down the slope, as we were afraid of the lift malfunctioning. I know, probably a very small chance that'd we'd fall, but still, there's a chance. Usually, I'm not afraid of heights, as I'm a big fan of roller coasters, but this ride was way too rickety. Every time we came up to one of these poles that pushed your seat along, I always heard this rattling in the area that was holding us up. It was a great view of the region though, so I can't complain about safety.
But anyway, it's been a great trip so far. Went hot tubbing tonight, but I was only in there for five minutes and we had to get out. I guess they put time limits on how long you can be in those things these days. Not a bad idea, considering it can raise your heart rate and your body temperature. But really, five minutes? That's a little short, don't you think?
xx
Enough with the negative. The mountains are spacious, the hotel room is well equipped, and I'm layin' back on this chair blogging. How could life get any better?
Tomorrow, we're heading to Santa Fe, and that means the desert is coming closer and closer. Believe it or not, I'm really excited about that. There's no way we'll get to Rosswell, but at least it's not too far away. That's the most interesting fact about this area, is that whole UFO crash rumor. I don't know if I believe in all that, but sometimes it sure sounds convincing. Plus, I'd love to see the landscape of where it apparently happened.
God knows, we might even see a jackalope, those rabbits with antlers. Those actually really do exist, but it's a disease that isn't so cute after all. I've seen some pictures and it's looks very painful. A lot of the time, these antlers don't come out of the head. I've seen one where the entire body of the hare or rabbit was covered in these horn-like bulges that come out of the skin. A very sad sight. If you think I'm BS'ing, just google "jackalope". Pretty weird reality.
Just to let you know, the show will not start again till Monday, the 25th of June. Keep enjoying past shows, and the new ones will be up quickly. It's just that work and family outings need time as well, cause they're important too. Even though they don't seem that way all the time, they really are. So keep sending me emails and listening to the episodes, and I and the rest of the gang will be back on "The Glimp" very soon.
